Body Image / Self Esteem

Let's talk:) Most often we can't remember what we did 3 days ago but if we had an aunt when we were 10 say something to us about our body, we remember the day like yesterday.  We all have triggers, we all have a past. How we deal with them is key.  For me it was a comment I remember as a 22 year old when someone who didn't know me came up at a function and tell me I should really eat a hamburger.  Now did they intend to be hurtful, where the words even stated that way? The thing is perspective, how I perceived the words and how I let that experience stay with me. Working on letting words go and now to move forward in a healthy way is very important.  I will share some tips tomorrow but would encourage you today to share with us something that is "burned in your brain!"  Let's be aware of the experience, acknowledge it and work on skills to move forward away from it! 💕 J
